20.09.2007 - 01.10.2007 We visited sunny Israel. Our friends invited us to their wedding party.
We lived in very north of Israel near Lebanon and Syria. This
is a place where the Jordan River starts.
We spent 2 days in Haifa, on the Mediterranean shore.
The Dead Sea — the lake and immediate surroundings forming the
lowest point on Earth.
The water in the Dead Sea is extremely salty, and has been estimated
to be the saltiest major body of water in the world.
The climate at the Dead Sea is very hot. That day there were 35C in the shadow.
These olive trees watched Jesus, people say.
We made an excursion in Jerusalem, a city of three religions:
Jews (the site of the Temple), Christians (the scene of Christ's
Passion), and Muslims.
